In private practice since 1973, Dr. Michael Khalil received his Bachelors of Science degree in Visual Science and his Doctors of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry.
He grew up in the Washington DC area after immigrating to the United States from Jordan with his parents at the age of 10.
Dr. Khalil provides a comprehensive eye examination which includes refraction to determine an eyeglass prescription, binocular and focusing evaluation, a thorough eye health exam for cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes, as well as common external eye diseases.
With a special interest in "hard to fit" contact lens patients and managing laser vision correction, he likes to keep up with the latest in eye wear fashion and lens development.
Dr. Khalil works very closely with other health care providers. When necessary, he will make referrals to primary care physicians and ophthalmologists.
His mission is excellence in detecting and treating visual disorders in an atmosphere of trust and comfort.
Each year Dr. Khalil spends many days in continuing education to keep abreast of current advances in eye care.
